About Duane Hiatt
Duane Hiatt was born June 16, 1937 in Payson, Utah. In high school, he and his good friend, Richard Davis taught themselves how to play the ukulele and later guitars. They entertained groups and students throughout high school and later through college at Brigham Young University (BYU). While at BYU, they met Denis Sorensen and the three of them formed the entertaining group, The Three D's.

Later after Denis left for other pursuits, Duane and Richard, who now went by Dick, entertained people as The D's. For sixteen years, The Three D's, traveled around the country, and internationally on a USO tour, entertaining people with their unique sound as three tenors. They recorded albums with Capital Records and other entertainment companies. The music on the CDs on this site are based on these recording.
On May 25, 2020, Duane passed away after a long bout with cancer. He lived a full life and leaves behind many friends and family who cherish his music and legacy.
